The most critical parameters to be inspected in anchor-bolts are the crack detection at the side of the flange, the overall dimensional inspection as well as the detection of the bending caused by the heat treatment process.

Dimac mcv3 is a 100% inspection and sorting machine which combines a robust mechanics, high-tech machine vision system and a simple set up.

It covers the range M6÷M20 and can be adopted for the inspection of anchor-bolts up to 300mm long.

It combines 360° all around optical inspection for bending and thread damages with high resolution digital cameras and the latest NDT eddy current technology inspection for side cracks and heat treatment detection.

Cracks and bending are detected with high speed eddy current turning station. The overall dimensional inspection is carried out by 3 digital side cameras combined with a 360° all around turning station configured to measure diameters, lengths and thread damages by multiple side profile views control.

The bending inspection is a key point of the Dimac mcv3 rotary table machine for 300 mm long anchor bolts or brake-booster bolts. Every single bolt is picked up and turned 360° while the rotary table indexes. The complete bolt profile is scanned as a 3D system by the mcvX software and a complete bending checking is performed with the highest possible accuracy.
